Terms of Use

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Set Hunter on devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service or the Google Play Terms of Service, depending on where you downloaded it. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app.

2. Acceptable use

• Do not use Set Hunter for anything unlawful.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape at scale, or break the service.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

3. Your content

Your collection data belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything you would not want to lose.

4. Valuations

Any card values shown in the app are estimates provided for general information. They are not appraisals, offers, or financial advice, and they may be inaccurate or out of date. Do not rely on them for buying, selling, or insuring cards.

5. No affiliation

Set Hunter is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., The Pokémon Company, or any card manufacturer or grading service. All trademarks, card names and card images remain the property of their respective owners and are shown for identification.

6. Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The app and website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Set Hunter. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use means you accept the updated terms.

9. Subscriptions

Set Hunter is free to download. It includes a free tier and an optional paid subscription.

Free. You can browse every English set without an account. With a free account you can collect in three English sets of your choice, chosen once, add cards by hand, and use five card recognition scans in total. Scanning a card's printed number inside one of your sets doesn't use a scan. The free plan does not expire.

Free trial. Every new account gets a 7-day trial of Set Hunter Pro, once per account, including up to 50 card recognition scans. The trial is not a subscription: nothing is charged and it does not renew. When it ends you return to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe.

Set Hunter Pro. An auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, at the price shown in the app before you buy, in the currency of your App Store or Google Play country. Pro unlocks every set in every catalogue, including the full Japanese, Chinese and Korean catalogues, and card recognition scanning under a fair-use limit of 1,500 scans a month, far above normal collecting. The features included in Pro may change as the app develops; we will not remove a significant feature from Pro without telling subscribers first.

How payment works (iPhone). Payment is taken by Apple through your App Store account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the price shown when you subscribed.

How payment works (Android). If you subscribe on Android, payment is taken by Google and charged to your Google account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before the current period ends, following Google Play's subscription rules.

Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time: on iPhone in your App Store account settings, and on Android in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. We have no ability to cancel it for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

If the price changes. We will tell you before any price increase takes effect, and Apple or Google will ask you to agree to the new price. If you do not agree, your subscription simply ends at the end of the current period.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service, not by us. We cannot issue a refund directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you subscribed through Google Play, refunds are handled by Google under its refund policy: see Google Play refunds.

Your right to cancel (UK). For digital content bought online you normally have 14 days to change your mind. Because Pro unlocks immediately when you subscribe, you agree to that immediate access and accept that the 14-day cancellation right no longer applies once access has begun. This does not affect your rights if the service is faulty or not as described.

What happens to your collection if Pro ends. Nothing is deleted. Your collection, including any Japanese, Chinese or Korean sets you have tracked, stays in your account and on your device. You can still see it. You will need Pro again to add to those sets or to keep scanning beyond the free allowance.

10. App Store terms

These terms apply to Set Hunter as downloaded from the Apple App Store.

• a. This agreement is with us, not Apple. These terms are between you and Set Hunter Ltd only. Apple is not a party to them. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Set Hunter and its content.
• b. What your licence covers. Your licence to use Set Hunter is non-transferable and limited to use on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
• c. Support. We are solely responsible for providing support for Set Hunter. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it. Support requests go to info@sethunterapp.com.
• d. Warranty. We are solely responsible for any warranties, whether express or implied, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. If Set Hunter fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Set Hunter. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
• e. Claims about the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to Set Hunter or your possession or use of it. This includes product liability claims, any claim that Set Hunter fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
• f. Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that Set Hunter or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
• g. Legal compliance. By using Set Hunter you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• h. Third party terms. You must comply with any applicable third party terms of agreement when using Set Hunter — for example, your wireless data plan.
• i. Apple can enforce these terms. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms. On your acceptance of them, Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce these terms against you as a third party beneficiary.

11. Google Play terms

If you downloaded Set Hunter from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. These terms are between you and Set Hunter Ltd only: Google is not a party to them and is not responsible for Set Hunter, its content or its support. Support requests go to info@sethunterapp.com.
